What Is project Prometheus?

Creativity should not be something only for those who can afford expensive equipment and software. This was our founding mission at HVMPS.

Project Prometheus is the dedicated social impact and philanthropic foundation of our company. It works alongside our creative media services, with one simple mission; we want to provide the tools, technical knowledge and financial support to creators who currently lack access the access - for whatever reason.

How the Funding Model Works

To run Project Prometheus in a sustainable way, we’re not relying entirely on our own profits. We dedicate a certain percentage of our monthly earnings into the “Prometheus Pool”. Additionally, we reach out to companies for financial support and give them the opportunity to sponsor a video segment as a direct exchange for supporting Project Prometheus itself. If companies that we reach out to are unable to support financially for whatever reason, but they do have access to hardware - or even software such as license keys to tools and applications that make creativity more accessible - we'll go out of our way to try and arrange those items to be delivered and then circulated, directly to those in need.

Now, while we absolutely understand that companies can reach out to individuals to support them directly - and we’ve much admiration for those who do - to make a larger philanthropic project like this possible, it needs promotion and content build around it to raise awareness, and help bring together brands and individuals who are passionate about giving back to the creator community.

Larger, more ambitious projects like flying to the home of someone whom suffers from either physical or mental impairments and helping to set up automations, making life easier for them, is often quite difficult and expensive for large multi-billion dollar tech companies. Financially, they'll end up spending more to send an employee out to the location and have them set everything up, then the donation would actually be worth - and that's outside of any content that is produced around that endeavour.

More Than Finances & Tools

As we start Project Prometheus and attempt to raise awareness for the project, building it into our core identity as a media production, we lack the initial capital to be able to make anything wildly ambitious and eye-catching from an the perspective of those watching. So, we’re going to utilise the tools and services that we have immediately available to us - if there's a up-and-coming content creator that is incredibly passionate about their work, but they don't have access to headshots, social media branding, or perhaps even a suite of editing tools - we will try to alleviate that pressure and provide as much support as we possibly can at no fee.

Even as Project Prometheus grows with us, those elements will still be the same. We’ll be making relationships with a variety of companies and individuals over the next few years and we'd like to utilise those relationships to ensure that there is minimal cost from the client's perspective, ensuring they are happy and comfortable contributing to the project, while also ensuring that we are providing access to something that can be life-changing, to those in need.

Our personal mission by the end of 2027 is to establish a physical space in London that we use for all of our projects - media studio that is filled to the brim with all of the essential creator tools, hardware and software. We'd like to be able to provide access to the location, its tools and our resources to those in need. So, if there's a content creator that doesn't have access to powerful hardware, or an enthusiastic musician who doesn't have access to instruments and audio mixing, we'd like to be able to provide all of those things and more, to minimise the barrier-for-entry in this day and age of professional creative competition.

Transparency & Support

Transparency is a big part of this mission. We want our community and our corporate partners to know precisely how funds are managed, allocated and distributed. We published a detailed FAQ on the main HVMPS website to address this, and we’ve set up a dedicated email for those who have any questions; prometheus@hvmps.com.
